Are you tired of the way your furniture looks? Ready for a change that won’t break the bank?
Purchase slip covers for sofas and chairs to give your furniture a facelift for the spring and summer. If you have dark, heavy fabrics, try lightening them up using slip covers in white, or another light material. Don’t worry about keeping them clean. Many can be machine washed or professionally
cleaned. You’ll have a new look at a fraction of the cost.
Many times we try to hang every picture we own, or we put all of our personal photos, accessories, chatchkes, etc., in a room because we love everything. The result is a hodgepodge of pieces that make our rooms look cluttered and overdone. I believe in the "less is more" principal. I don’t recommend that you get rid of anything that you love.
Instead, gather the art and accessories from your room and place them on the floor or a large table. Select only your best items and separate them into collections with similar themes or finishes. Choose one collection to return to the room. Place the other collections in storage. You can then change your art and accessories with each season for a new look.
You’ll see your pieces in a whole new light if you rotate them. Change pillows each season too, to match the colors in your artwork and accessories.

Gather raffia, string, yarn, or even fabric you have around your house. Tie it around napkins that are folded in 3 parts. Bring in flowers from your yard and slip one flower inside the material tied around each napkin. Your forks will fit inside the napkin, and the result will be a colorful and fragrant addition to your lovely table settings.
